Caring With Confidence
CARING WITH CONFIDENCE SESSIONS
Caring with Confidence
- Do you look after a friend, neighbour or relative, who needs help due to disability, age or illness?
- Is this more than 1 hour a week up to 24 hours a day?
Caring with Confidence can help you to make a positive difference to your life and that of the person you look after.
Caring with Confidence is a FREE skills and knowledge programme, which has been designed by carers for carers, to be fun yet informative. You can take part in local group sessions, through handbooks sent to your home or even over the internet.
We can be flexible to your needs, so if you want to be involved let us know if we can help you in any way. We can pay for alternative respite costs or reimburse transport if you wished to attend the group sessions.
This is a national programme, but ran with local facilitators who have different experiences in this area. It is attended by people from across Hull and the East Riding and as such we are currently compiling a local information folder for the East Riding as well as the ones we have for Hull and parent carers.
We are expanding the number of sessions and the venues we use to try and accommodate the individual needs of as many carers as possible. We can come to different, groups, schools, organisations and venues so if you are a member of a group and would like to take part in one or more session please get in touch to organise this.
There are six stand alone sessions in the programme which you can pick and choose from depending on your individual caring needs. Details about each of the sessions are available at the bottom of this page.
For more information please contact Sam on (01482) 225 078 or email her at cwc@carerscentrehull.org.uk who can tell you more about the programme and answer any questions you may have.
